Our #53-210 is a simple bolt-type crimp tool which is specifically designed to crimp our 26-series (1/8″) and 27-series (3/16″) hand crimp fittings. Small and lightweight, this little hunk of steel can be a lifesaver when you’re out on the water. It’s perfect for replacing a few fittings on your lifelines or for emergency repairs. Just place your fitting in the appropriate 1/8″ or 3/16″ die, crank down the bolts, release, and you’re ready to move onto the next crimp. With this tool, Johnson recommends 5 crimps per fitting. Instructions are included with the tool; please reach out with any questions!
THIS TOOL IS COMPATIBLE WITH 1/8″ OR 3/16″ JOHNSON HAND CRIMP FITTINGS ONLY. YOU CAN NEVER USE A CRIMP TOOL ON A MACHINE-SWAGE FITTING. It is not guaranteed to work with any other manufacturers hardware. Conversely, other manufacturer’s tools cannot be used on our fittings. Other crimping tools will not compress Johnson stainless steel fittings properly. Only use a Johnson approved tool; if you’re using our hardware, then you need to be using our tool as well. PERSONAL INJURY OR LOSS OF LIFE CAN RESULT FROM THE USE OF IMPROPER TOOLS, AND FAILURE WILL OCCUR. FAILURE TO FOLLOW OUR INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS AND/OR FAILURE TO USE A PROPER TOOL VOIDS ANY OF OUR MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES.
Note:
– Our fittings are not compatible with Nicropress tools, which are designed to crimp soft copper and aluminum oval and stop sleeves only.
– Johnson tools are designed with special width and relief patterns which apply to Johnson hand crimp fittings and instructions only.
– The use of other tools or crimping fittings other than Johnson hand crimp fittings with Johnson tools can result in failure of the terminal, personal injury or loss of life.
IMPORTANT: Use only 1/8″ or 3/16″, preformed, corrosion resistant wire in 7×7 or 1×19 construction.
